The park encompasses an area of roughly 17.75 square miles, with the bay of Telašćica being one of the safest and largest natural harbors in the Adriatic. The park's landscape is marked by its rugged cliffs, towering up to 161 meters above sea level, offering panoramic views of the surrounding sea and islands. The area boasts a diverse ecosystem with over 500 plant species and 300 animal species, making it a biodiversity hotspot. A key attraction is the Salt Lake Mir, a unique lake with higher salinity than the nearby sea.
